Puddy, My "Princess" Cat

Inherited through odd circumstance, in fairly recent times. Cute but a tad cuckoo. Quiet and crazy. Naturally, as she's still really only a full grown kitten (around a year old) I've been keeping her on a leash*, to keep her out of trouble, and my mind at ease. Still she manages to twist herself up in the cord, which she also loves playing with. Along with desk implements, and electric cords. All under my watchful eye of course. As with the nature of cats, she's often cleaning herself, leaving clumps of cat hair everywhere she goes. Lately she's become the office mascot. Lounging in her a new royal pet bed. Also at the end, some view shots within and from our high perch, at my temporary dwelling at my workplace. (29 photos, plus 3 QuickTime movies.. total)

*I was recently informed that cats don't need a leash. Maybe in a home situation, which is quite common with pets. However I'm not positive that will work ok in the office, with Puddy wandering about the place all day long, annoying folks, etc. At least I could let her have free roam at night indoors (alone, with doors locked). The leash is indeed annoying and awkward for her, but I think the only practical means of containment for now. Tough decision to make here. After all, this is a business place, not a home. Out in the wild she could roam to her hearts content, but of course no affection would await her there either, nor easy food and drink. Indoors she gets plenty of attention from me all day/night long, which she loves. I do my best to keep her basic needs supplied. Personally I prefer her as a mellow indoors cat, and it's my prerogative to train her in that way, though it may take some time. For the most part she's adapting quite well, as the photos below show.
